On the occasion of Independence Day, Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Chief Minister Hemant Soren, in their addresses, laid special emphasis on youth, employment and fairness in competitive examinations. In sub-capital Dumka, the Governor said that paper leaks, malpractice or any form of irregularity in examinations cannot be accepted, as such incidents affect the future and confidence of the youth. He expected the State Government to undertake a comprehensive review of the examination system, address its shortcomings and ensure effective measures to prevent unfair practices. 

 

In the state capital Ranchi, Chief Minister Hemant Soren said the government would ensure that all recruitment processes, including those conducted by JPSC and JSSC, are taken forward in a time-bound manner. He announced steps towards an annual examination calendar, a transparent and phased examination system, timely availability of answer keys and OMR sheets, and multi-level accountability in the examination process.

 

Meanwhile, protesting students took out a Tiranga Yatra from Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium in Ranchi. Before the march, the students made jalebi at the stadium premises and shared sweets with one another.
