Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi to visit India next month

Prime Minister of Japan Sanae Takaichi will be on an official visit to New Delhi from the 1st to the 3rd of next month for the 16th India-Japan Annual Summit.

The Ministry of External Affairs said the summit will provide an opportunity for both sides to review and strengthen the full spectrum of bilateral cooperation, as well as exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual interest.

This will be Prime Minister Takaichi’s first official visit to India. The visit follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Tokyo in August last year for the 15th India-Japan Annual Summit. It reflects the shared commitment of the two countries to further strengthen the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership.
