Jan Kalyan Sabha held in Puducherry to promote Central govt welfare schemes

A Jan Kalyan Sabha to create awareness about Central Government welfare schemes was held at Kamban Kalaiarangam in Puducherry today.
 
 
Addressing the gathering, Lieutenant Governor K. Kailashnathan said that welfare initiatives introduced by the Central Government over the past twelve years have brought significant social transformation and improved the lives of millions.
 
 
He said the schemes have expanded access to housing, healthcare, financial inclusion and livelihood opportunities, while empowering women, youth, farmers and street vendors. Stressing the importance of inclusive development, he said government benefits must reach the last person in society to help build a developed India. Welfare assistance under various Central schemes was distributed to around 100 beneficiaries. 
 
 
The event also featured information and registration counters for schemes including PM SVANidhi, PM Vishwakarma, PM Mudra Yojana, Ayushman Bharat and PM Matru Vandana Yojana.
