ISRO refutes reports of its being privatised

 
The ISRO Chairman V Narayanan has refuted reports of ISRO being privatised. Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of an expo organised by CII in Bengaluru today, the ISRO chief said that ISRO is a government organisation and there is no question of privatisation. However he added that according to the mandate given by the Government and in line with the new space policy, the private sector is involved in the space programme with a motive to scale up operations. Responding to the allegations related to limited role and budget for ISRO, the Chairman made it clear that ISRO role has increased manifold and the Government allocation is sufficient to meet their demands.
 
Addressing media persons the Chairman of Inspace, Pawan Goenka made it clear that retrition of Scientists in ISRO is not abnormal and the activities of ISRO are expanding today.
