Iran rules out talks with US on final agreement

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has firmly refused to negotiations with Washington on a final agreement following remarks by US President Donald Trump. In a social media post, Araghchi cited the Memorandum of Understanding between Iran and the United States, stating that Tehran would not resume talks until Washington honoured its commitments.

Earlier, President Trump said the United States would either secure a deal with Iran or “finish the job”, claiming Washington could cripple Iran’s critical infrastructure if required. Iran strongly condemned the remarks, and the Iranian Embassy in Armenia also criticised the United States in a social media post.

Meanwhile, Iranian state television reported that the body of the country’s former Supreme Leader had arrived in Qom by helicopter.
