Iran accuses US of alleged airstrike near nuke power plant in Bushehr

An Iranian official accused the United States of conducting an airstrike near the Bushehr nuclear power plant today. Iranian state news agency said the strike came around noon, hours after the US military’s Central Command said it had ended its strikes on Iran. US Central Command did not immediately confirmed it.
Early today, the United States launched new airstrikes against Iran, and Tehran responded by targeting US-allied countries in the West Asia in an exchange of fire that threatened an interim deal intended to help end the war in the West Asia. Sirens sounding at least three times in Bahrain, home to the US Navy’s 5th Fleet headquarters, and Iranian missiles targeting Kuwait and Qatar. Sirens sounded Thursday afternoon in Jordan as well, where the US has stationed troops and aircraft.
In Iran, the two days of American airstrikes have killed at least 14 people and wounded another 78, according to Iran’s Health Ministry. Most of those reportedly members of the armed forces.
Back-and-forth attacks, including a day earlier, have repeatedly threatened the ceasefire, but today’s exchange of fire appeared bigger all around. The strikes came hours after US President Donald Trump said recent Iranian attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz signalled the end of a fragile ceasefire and threatened to escalate the conflict if they did not stop.
