Senior IPS officer of the 1994 batch Anurag Kumar has been appointed as the new police commissioner of Delhi. According to the order issued by the Union Home Ministry, his appointment will come into effect from the date of assumption of charge and until further orders.

In the order, incumbent Police Commissioner of Delhi Satish Golcha has also been directed to report to the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi for further posting upon assumption of charge by Anurag Kumar.
