In Punjab, the International Yoga Day was celebrated across the state. Various government and private organisations and institutions held yoga sessions in the morning.
BJP National President Nitin Nabin participated in the yoga session at Lovely Professional University near Jalandhar. He called upon the people of the state, especially the youth, to stay away from drugs. He said Let’s unite to say no to drugs and make a bright Punjab as part of Viksit Bharat.
The Border Security Force celebrated the event at the Attari-Wagah Joint Check Post (JCP) in Amritsar, the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor in Gurdaspur, JCP Hussainiwala at Ferozepur and JCP Sadqi on Fazilka border, besides other units and Headquarter in the state.
At renowned JCP Attari, the Chief Guest, Inspector General of BSF Punjab Frontier, Dr Atul Fulzele encouraged the participants, including border villagers, to integrate Yoga into their daily routine.
Central Bureau of Communication and other Punjab and Chandigarh-based units of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting also celebrated the International Yoga Day by organising an awareness programme.
