Vultures are extremely important for our ecosystem. By feeding on dead animals, they help keep the environment clean and reduce the spread of harmful diseases.

 

However, vulture populations have declined significantly because of habitat loss, poisoning, and certain veterinary medicines that are harmful to them. Conservation efforts are therefore essential to protect these birds and maintain the balance of nature.

 

On this International Vulture Day, government and environmental experts have urged people to understand, protect, and conserve vultures for a healthier environment.
