Intermittent monsoon rains continue in many parts of Himachal Pradesh in last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, intermittent monsoon rains have continued in many parts of Himachal Pradesh, including the capital Shimla. This rain has caused landslides in several places. On the Shimla-Chandigarh National Highway, a vehicle from Punjab was caught in a landslide at Datyar in Solan district last night, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to three others. Landslides have also disrupted traffic on connecting roads in the areas around the capital Shimla. So far, the state has recorded 35 percent less rainfall than normal during this monsoon season. However, according to the weather department, the monsoon is expected to strengthen in the coming days, and a heavy rain alert has been issued for some areas. The weather department has issued an orange alert for very heavy rainfall in some areas for the next two days. Considering the possibility of heavy rain, the administration has advised people to take precautions and avoid going near rivers and streams.
