India’s women wrestlers win 10 medals at Under-17 Asian Wrestling Championships

In the Under-17 Asian Wrestling Championships, India’s women wrestlers delivered a strong performance, winning a total of 10 medals, including 2 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze in Da Nang, Vietnam.
 
Leading the charge, Diksha in the 43kg category and Garima in the 73kg category clinched gold medals with dominant victories in their respective finals.
 
India added three silver medals through Nikita in the 49kg, Antra in the 65kg, and Taniya in the 69kg categories. Taniya went down in a closely contested final against Khadisha Flyuk, while Nikita and Antra also finished runners-up in their title bouts.
 
The bronze medal winners were Palak in the 40kg, Anamika in the 46kg, Akshra in the 53kg, Sakshi in the 57kg, and Manya in the 61kg categories. 
Meanwhile, in the U-23 Asian Wrestling Championships, India’s men’s freestyle team was crowned overall champion, lifting the team title with a dominant performance.
 
India topped the freestyle standings ahead of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, who finished second and third respectively.
