India’s candidate, Professor Bimal N. Patel has been elected as a Judge of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS) for the 2026-2035 term. New Delhi has thanked the member states for reposing their trust in India. Informing about the significant milestone in a social media post, Ministry of External Affairs’ spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal congratulated Professor Patel and all the distinguished members elected to the Tribunal.
