India’s Abhay Singh won silver in the men’s singles squash at the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya today. In the final, he lost to Malaysia’s Eain Yow Ng 11-9, 11-5, 11-5.

The world number 26 Indian was unable to match the number 18 Malaysian, who defended his Asian Games title with a commanding straight-game victory.

In women’s singles squash, Anahat Singh entered the final with an epic comeback win over Japan’s Satomi Watanabe. She became the first Indian to reach the women’s singles final. She is scheduled to play the title clash against Malaysian Sivasangari Subramaniam later today.
