India’s largest global textile event, Bharat Tex 2026, concluded in New Delhi today, reaffirming the country’s position as a leading global destination for textile manufacturing, sourcing, innovation and investment.
The four-day event aimed to strengthen international partnerships, promote trade and investment, and showcase the entire textile value chain under one platform.
Exhibitors, buyers, investors, policymakers and industry stakeholders from India and abroad participated in the event, reflecting growing global confidence in India’s textile sector. It featured over 1,600 exhibitors and over 11,000 buyers, including more than 6,000 international buyers, with participation from 138 countries.
The event also facilitated more than 28 thousand business-to-business meetings, more than hundred government-to-government and business-to-government interactions, and generated investment commitments worth over 14,300 crore rupees.
Addressing a press conference in New Delhi today, Chairman of the Bharat Tex Trade Federation Narendra Kumar Goenka said Bharat Tex 2026 witnessed enthusiastic participation from industry leaders, exhibitors and global buyers.
He said the event brought together the entire textile value chain, from fibre and yarn to fabrics, apparel and home furnishings. Mr Goenka added that buyers from around 130 countries attended the event, reflecting the growing international recognition of Bharat Tex.
Co-Chairman of the organising committee, Bhadresh M Dodhia said that the event attracted around 15 lakh visitors and over 11 thousand buyers, including nearly 6,000 international buyers from 138 countries. Mr Dodhia added that nearly 70 per cent of the exhibitors were MSMEs, while 95 first-time exporters participated this year.
