India’s Forex Reserves Rise by $9.90 Billion to $716.9 Billion during week ended August 14

India’s foreign exchange reserves rose by 9.90 billion US dollars (USD) to 716.9 billion US dollars during the week ended August 14.

 

According to the Reserve Bank of India data, Foreign currency assets, the largest component of the reserves, increased by 7.2 billion USD to 581.85 billion USD during the week. Gold reserves added 2.67 billion USD to 111.41 billion US dollars. Country’s reserve position with the International Monetary Fund was up by five million USD to around 4.89 billion USD. Special Drawing Rights decreased by five million USD to 18.74 billion USD.
