India’s Forex Reserves Rise by $14.1 Billion to $707 Billion during week ended August 7

India’s foreign exchange reserves rose by 14.1 billion US dollars (USD) to 707 billion US dollars during the week ended August 7. According to the Reserve Bank of India data, Foreign currency assets, the largest component of the reserves, increased by 9.9 billion USD to 574.6 billion USD during the week.

 

Gold reserves added 3.9 billion USD to 108.7 billion US dollars. The country’s reserve position with the International Monetary Fund was up by 116 million USD to around 4.9 billion USD. Special Drawing Rights increased by 79 million USD to 18.74 billion USD.
