India’s total exports during April to June this year is estimated at over 232 billion US dollar registering a positive growth of 11.37 percent as compared to same period last year. Commerce and Industry Ministry said that the total exports for June this year is estimated at 73.45 Billion US dollar, registering a positive growth of 9.48 percent as compared to same month last year. The major drivers of merchandise exports growth in June include Gems and Jewellery, Engineering Goods, Organic and Inorganic Chemicals, Electronic Goods, and Rice. The electronic goods exports increased by around 19 per cent from 4.14 Billion US dollar in June last year to 4.93 Billion US dollar in June this year.
The Ministry said, the total imports (Merchandise and Services combined) for June this year is estimated at 88.76 Billion US dollar, registering a positive growth of over 26 percent as compared to same month last year.
