At the Asian Games 2026, India’s compound mixed archery team of Sahil Jadhav and Chikitha Taniparthi has won a gold medal, beating Korea in a shoot-off in the finals. The Indian duo also secured a 2028 Olympic quota place with this win. They defeated Thailand in the Semi-finals.

Earlier, the Indian Women’s Compound Archery team clinched gold after beating China 238-234 in the finals today at Okazaki Chuo Sogo Park, Japan. The Indian team, comprising Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Chikitha Taniparthi and Prithika Pradeep, entered the finals after beating South Korea 234-233 in the semifinals. India won gold in the Women’s compound team event at the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou. India now has a total of 54 medals, including eight gold, 21 silver and 25 bronze medals.
