Indian women’s football team defeated defending champions Bangladesh 3-0 in Margao, Goa, yesterday to top Group B of the SAFF Women’s Championship 2026.
Pyari Xaxa, Lynda Kom, and Malavika P scored a goal each for world No. 69 India.
Earlier last week, India thrashed the Maldives 11-0 in their opening match of the tournament.
Yet to concede a goal in the campaign, India, five-time SAFF Women’s Championship winners, will face Group A runners-up Bhutan in the semi-finals on Wednesday.
World No. 112 Bangladesh, winners of the last two editions, will take on Group A winners Nepal in the other semi-final.
