Indian Naval Ships Udaygiri and Kavaratti have departed Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam after completing a port call as part of their operational deployment in the South East Asia region. The Defence Ministry said that during the visit, Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet, Rear Admiral Alok Ananda, held discussions with senior officials of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee and the Vietnam People’s Navy on maritime cooperation, professional collaboration and regional maritime security.
It added that the Indian Navy personnel, along with Vietnam’s Navy, also participated in professional interactions and bilateral exercises aimed at enhancing interoperability and strengthening maritime cooperation. A joint yoga session was conducted onboard INS Kavaratti to mark the International Day of Yoga.
