The Indian boxing contingent has returned to New Delhi following a triumphant campaign at the 2026 Asian Games. Speaking to the media upon her arrival, boxer Lovlina Borgohain who clinched gold in the Women’s 75 kg category on her birthday shared that the timing made the milestone particularly special. She noted that competing in her second Asian Games gave her the opportunity to upgrade her previous silver medal to gold.
While, Boxer Ankush Panghal who also won gold in Men’s 80 kilogram event also expressed his happiness for winning the medal. He said that now he is focusing on the Olympics.
