India to Host World Circular Economy Forum 2026 in Gandhinagar from Sep 15-18

India will host the World Circular Economy Forum 2026 at Gandhinagar in Gujarat, from 15th to 18th of this month. The forum will be organised under the theme “Circular Economy: Transition for People and Prosperity.” Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav will jointly inaugurate the event with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Tuesday.

The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change said the event will witness the participation of more than 2,000 cross-sectoral stakeholders from over 65 countries, including business leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators, researchers, policymakers, academicians and changemakers.

The forum will enable global collaboration and greater engagement with the Global South, facilitate the mobilisation of circular finance and private-sector investment, encourage policy dialogue and cross-sectoral partnerships, and advance innovation, digitalisation and technology for circularity. The Ministry said the objective of the forum is to showcase India’s initiatives to promote circularity and enhance international cooperation.
