The Ministry of Communications has constituted a “Bharat 6G Alliance” to develop an action plan according to the Bharat 6G vision. In a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Communications Dr. P. Chandrashekhar said that domestic industry, academia, national research institutions, and standards organizations have been incorporated into the alliance.

The Union Minister further added that India’s 6G prospects under the Bharat 6G Vision document were recently launched by the Prime Minister, which envisions placing India as a frontline contributor in the design, development, and deployment of 6G technology by 2030. Dr. Chandrashekhar added that currently, 6G technology is in the developmental phase at the international level, and it is expected to be available by 2030.
