India Pavilion Showcases Cutting-Edge Pharma Industry at Arab Pharma Manufacturers' Expo 2023

Amman, Jordan – The Arab Pharma Manufacturers' Expo 2023 witnessed the resounding success of the 'India Pavilion,' an impressive display of India's thriving pharmaceutical industry. The exhibition, held at the Jordan International Exhibition Centre (JIEC), was inaugurated by the Ambassador of India to Jordan, H.E. Mr. Anwar Haleem, on July 11, 2023.

Supported by the Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC) and the Embassy of India, the 'India Pavilion' featured more than 100 companies representing a diverse range of pharmaceutical products and services. This significant presence showcased India's technological advancements, manufacturing prowess, and commitment to the global pharmaceutical sector.

With over 192 companies participating in the Expo, the Indian Pavilion emerged as a prominent destination for visitors. The exhibition displayed cutting-edge technologies and modern manufacturing processes across multiple product categories, including processing machines, packaging machinery, cleanroom equipment, analytical instruments, pharmaceutical formulations, and water treatment systems.

The Indian companies participating in the Expo were able to engage with a wide range of industry professionals, including Jordanian enterprises and other regional players. This facilitated valuable networking opportunities, opening doors for future collaborations and business partnerships in the dynamic Middle East market.

India's pharmaceutical exports to Jordan have experienced significant growth, reaching a commendable US$28.14 million in the financial year 2022-23, marking an impressive 33% increase compared to the previous year. The 'India Pavilion' at the Arab Pharma Manufacturers' Expo 2023 served as a catalyst for further strengthening trade relations between India and Jordan in the pharmaceutical sector.

The Ambassador of India to Jordan, H.E. Mr. Anwar Haleem, expressed his satisfaction with the overwhelming response received by the 'India Pavilion.' He emphasized the high demand for Indian pharma engineering equipment, API/Chemicals, and the acceptance of Indian products in the Middle East region's pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.

The success of the 'India Pavilion' at the Arab Pharma Manufacturers' Expo 2023 further solidified India's reputation as a reliable and innovative player in the global pharmaceutical landscape. The exhibition not only showcased India's manufacturing capabilities but also provided a platform for Indian companies to explore new business prospects and strengthen ties with partners in Jordan and the wider region.
