The Department of Legal Affairs is organizing the 8th BRICS Heads of Prosecution Services Meeting starting today. The two-day virtual meeting advances India’s overarching BRICS vision of “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability.” The Ministry of Law and Justice said that the meeting highlights a shared commitment to fostering stable, fair, and predictable frameworks that support economic growth across the entire BRICS bloc. A central focus of this year’s dialogue is the shared goal of making the criminal justice system more sensitive, transparent, and victim-centric. The Ministry noted that member countries will share their unique experiences to improve prosecutorial effectiveness and build greater public trust in prosecution services. During the two days, senior leaders will discuss modern institutional challenges and exchange vital practices of adjudication.
