India has achieved a major milestone in its clean energy journey, with the country crossing 300 Gigawatts of installed non-fossil fuel-based electricity capacity.

In a social media post, New and Renewable Energy Minister Pralhad Joshi highlighted that India’s renewable energy capacity has surged by 400 per cent over the last 12 years. The Minister said the milestone of 300 Gigawatts of non-fossil fuel-based installed power capacity demonstrates that India’s clean energy transition continues to set global benchmarks. Mr Joshi highlighted that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government is building a cleaner, greener and more sustainable future.
