India concludes 3rd BRICS Transport Ministers’ Meeting under BRICS Chairship 2026

The 3rd BRICS Transport Ministers’ Meeting concluded in Nagpur today under India’s BRICS Chairship 2026. The 4-day meeting began on the 9th of July. The meeting ended with the unanimous adoption of the Ministerial Declaration, outlining cooperation among BRICS countries in areas including sustainable transport, logistics, transport decarbonisation, Sustainable Aviation Fuel, urban mobility, circular infrastructure and railway research. Union Minister for Road Transport Nitin Gadkari, who chaired the meeting yesterday, thanked all the participating delegations for their support in achieving a successful outcome.
 
The Ministerial Meeting was preceded by the 3rd BRICS Transport Working Group Senior Officials’ Meeting, held on the 9th and 10th of July, during which the agenda outcomes and the Ministerial Declaration were finalised.  
 
The four-day programme brought together Transport Ministers, senior officials and technical experts from BRICS member countries. Along with official meetings and bilateral engagements, the event featured cultural programmes showcasing the diversity of BRICS nations and provided an opportunity to strengthen cooperation and people-to-people ties among the participating countries.
