India began Day 12 of the Asian Games 2026 with hopes of adding more medals to their tally today, with several key events lined up across disciplines.
India bagged their first sailing medal at the 2026 Asian Games as Manu Francis and Prince Kurisinkal Noble claim silver in the men’s skiff event, finishing just behind China.
Across nine races over recent days, Francis and Noble demonstrated impressive consistency, collecting 23 total points and claiming a victory in one of the races to seal the silver spot.
In squash, India settled for a bronze medal after losing 1-2 to Hong Kong in the women’s team semifinal. Meanwhile, in sepaktakraw, India assured itself of at least a bronze medal after defeating Vietnam 2-nil in the men’s quadrant event to advance to the semifinals.
In the men’s hockey semi-final, India will take on arch-rivals Pakistan in a highly anticipated clash. The Indian team will be aiming for a win to secure its place in the final. Meanwhile, the Indian women’s hockey team has already secured its place in the gold-medal match against China.
In Cricket, defending champions India return to action as Shreyas Iyer and company will face Sri Lanka in the men’s semi-final. India will look to secure a victory and move one step closer to defending their Asian Games title.
Elsewhere, Indian athletes will be competing across a wide range of sports, including shooting, judo, track cycling, golf, canoe slalom, taekwondo, tennis, sepak takraw, rugby sevens and sport climbing. India’s overall tally has reached 62, including 10 gold, 22 silver and 30 bronze.
