India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) issued a joint vision statement in 2022 outlining their shared goals and strengthening their bilateral relationship.
The statement was released after a virtual summit between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The joint vision statement focuses on five key areas of cooperation: trade and investment, energy, security, people-to-people ties, and global issues. Both countries aim to deepen their collaboration and achieve common objectives in these areas. They have set a target of reaching $100 billion in bilateral trade by 2030 and will work together to promote economic diversification and innovation.
