External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar today stated that the India – Bahrain cooperation continues to deepen. Dr Jaishankar concluded his two day visit to Bahrain this evening. During his visit, the External Affairs Minister discussed taking India-Bahrain bilateral cooperation forward across various sectors with Deputy Prime Minister of Bahrain Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa. They also exchanged views on the regional situation.
Yesterday, Dr Jaishankar had an audience with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain. He also met Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa at the audience. He also interacted with members of Indian community in Bahrain. He praised their deep contributions to the Bahraini society and noted that they are serving as a living bridge between India and Bahrain.
The External Affairs Minister is currently on an eleven day trip to Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, New York and Brussels.
