India continued its impressive medal-winning run at the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, today, with athletes making their mark across shooting, cricket, kurash and boxing. The country added eight more medals to its tally so far today, while the Indian men’s cricket team also advanced to the semi-finals. The two-time Commonwealth Games silver medallist successfully defended the silver medal he won at the previous Asian Games. However, Sreeshankar’s competition ended prematurely after he suffered an injury during his fourth attempt. He subsequently retired from the event.

India will face the winner of the quarterfinal between Nepal and Sri Lanka in the semi-final.
