India Meteorological Department, IMD has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall over Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh and issued an Orange alert for Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, Odisha and Madhya Pradesh for the next two days. It said there is a moderate to high risk of flash floods over a few watersheds and neighbourhoods of Himachal's Chamba, Kangra, Sirmaour, Shimla and Kullu districts till tomorrow. Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall is very likely to continue over Himachal Pradesh during next five days. Active monsoon condition is very likely to prevail over central and adjoining East India during next five days.
