IMD predicts heavy rainfall for several states

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange-coloured warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall over Odisha till Monday. Heavy Rainfall is also likely to hit Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and parts of the northeastern states for the next two to three days.
 
IMD said that thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are expected to prevail over Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Sikkim for the day. Meanwhile, the weather department has said that the sky will remain cloudy with no rain in Delhi today. The department also marked no significant change in maximum temperature for the next seven days in the National Capital.
