India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red colour warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall with isolated extremely heavy rainfall over Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Muzaffarabad for today.

IMD has also issued an orange-colour warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall over Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, East Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and parts of North East India for the day. Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal are expected to experience thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds during the next three days.

According to IMD, similar conditions are also likely to prevail over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Bihar, Interior Karnataka, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan and Telangana till the 24th of this month.
