India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red colour warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall with isolated extremely heavy rainfall over Gujarat and Madhya Maharashtra today. IMD has also forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall over East Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Pradesh and Punjab during the next two to three days.

Meanwhile Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, Vidarbha and some parts of North East India are likely to experience heavy rainfall till tomorrow. The weather agency has also predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds at isolated places over Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during the day. Similar conditions are very likely to prevail over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, and Telangana till tomorrow.
