IMD predicts wet spell over northwest parts of the country

 
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a wet spell over northwest parts of the country till Saturday with possibility of thunderstorms with gusty winds and hail storm till tomorrow. According to IMD, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected over Northeast India and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal till 17th of this month. The weather agency has forecast heavy rainfall over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Telangana, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha during next 3 to 5 days. 
According to the Met Department Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are expected to experience thunderqualls and thunderstorms till tomorrow.  
Meanwhile, heatwave conditions will persist over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Vidarbha tomorrow. The weather agency informed that hot and humid weather is likely to prevail over Konkan, Goa and Madhya Maharashtra tomorrow.
