IMD issues Orange alert for very heavy rainfall over Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Odisha, East Madhya Pradesh

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange colour warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Odisha, East Madhya Pradesh till tomorrow. 
 
The IMD forecast heavy rainfall conditions at isolated places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Coastal Karnataka, East Uttar Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Kerala, Mahe, Madhya Maharashtra, and South Interior Karnataka for the next two to three days. Similar weather conditions are likely to prevail over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Telangana, Uttarakhand, Vidarbha, West Madhya Pradesh and North Eastern Region during the next two days. 
 
The Met department has predicted thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Interior Karnataka, Coastal Karnataka, Lakshadweep, East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim for tomorrow. Meanwhile, parts of the national capital received light to moderate rainfall. The weather agency predicted cloudy sky with a spell of very light to light rainfall at most places for tomorrow.
