The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for thundersquall conditions over Rajasthan, Gujarat, West Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Coastal Andhra Pradesh till tomorrow.
The weather agency has predicted heavy rainfall over Interior Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal tomorrow. The Met Department has forecast thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim till tomorrow. It also forecast thunderstorms accompanied by lightning over Konkan and Goa, Lakshadweep, Maharashtra, Rayalaseema, Saurashtra and Kutch, Telangana and Andaman and Nicobar Islands till tomorrow. Similar conditions are likely to prevail over Coastal Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh and South Interior Karnataka tomorrow.
The IMD has also predicted hot and humid weather conditions over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Odisha and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the next two days.
