The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for thundersquall conditions over Rajasthan, Gujarat, West Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the day. The weather agency has predicted heavy rainfall over Interior Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal till tomorrow. 

 

The IMD has forecast thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Konkan and Goa, Lakshadweep, Maharashtra, Rayalaseema, Saurashtra and Kutch, Telangana, and West Uttar Pradesh for the next two to three days. Similar conditions are likely to prevail over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Coastal Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and South Interior Karnataka tomorrow.

 

The Met department has also predicted hot and humid weather conditions over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Odisha and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim for today.
