The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange color warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall along with thunderstorms and lightning over Odisha and Bihar today. The IMD has forecast heavy rainfall over Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh, and Jharkhand during the day. Similar conditions are predicted over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, North Interior Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and Uttarakhand during the same period. According to the IMD, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, South Interior Karnataka, West Bengal and Sikkim are also expected to witness thunderstorms along with lightning and gusty winds today.
