The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange-coloured warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall in East Rajasthan and West Madhya Pradesh for today. Heavy Rainfall is also expected over parts of northeastern states, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh for the next two days.

The Met department has forecast that thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds are expected over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Bihar, Interior Karnataka, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Muzaffarabad, West Bengal and Sikkim today.

Similar weather conditions are also expected over Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Tripura, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand for the day. Meanwhile, the National Capital received light to heavy rainfall in different parts today.
