IMD forecasts thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, gusty winds over North India for tomorrow

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange colour warning for Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall over Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim for tomorrow. Heavy rainfall is also expected over parts of North-East India, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during the next two days. IMD said that conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon into some more parts of Telangana, Odisha, Jharkhand and Bihar and some parts of Chhattisgarh during the next four to five days.

The Met Department has forecast thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds over Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh for tomorrow. Similar weather conditions are expected over Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

While Heat Wave conditions are expected over Telangana and Vidarbha, hot and humid weather conditions are expected over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Konkan, Goa and Odisha tomorrow. IMD said that a gradual rise in maximum temperatures over Maharashtra by about two degrees Celsius is expected during the next three days.

For Delhi, IMD has predicted a partly cloudy sky tomorrow. According to the Weather Agency, the maximum temperature will be around 33 to 35 degrees Celsius in the national capital while the minimum temperature will hover around 26 to 28 degrees Celsius tomorrow.
