IMD forecasts severe heatwave conditions over North India during next two to three days

 
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for warm night conditions over Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and Vidarbha till tomorrow. The weather agency has forecast heatwave to severe heat wave conditions over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan during the next two to three days. Similar conditions are likely to prevail over Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Jharkhand and Uttarakhand till tomorrow. The IMD has also predicted hot and humid weather over Gangetic West Bengal, Konkan, Goa, Saurashtra, Kutch, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during the next two days.
According to the Met Department, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are likely to prevail over Bihar, Kerala, Mahe, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Lakshadweep, Madhya Maharashtra, North Interior Karnataka and the North Eastern region tomorrow. Similar weather conditions are expected over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Coastal Karnataka till tomorrow.
