The India Meteorological Department has said that conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon into some more parts of Telangana, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, and Chhattisgarh during the next four to five days. According to IMD, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim are likely to continue witnessing heavy to very heavy rainfall for the next four days.
The Met Department has forecast heavy rainfall over Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal for the next two days. Further, Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, Odisha and North Interior Karnataka are expected to witness thunderstorm and lightning until Monday.
