IMD forecasts heavy rainfall over several parts of the country for next two to three days

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall over East Rajasthan, Madhya Maharashtra, Odisha, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal today. The Met department has predicted heavy rainfall over North eastern parts of country, Sikkim, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, West Madhya Pradesh, West Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir along with and Andaman and Nicobar Islands for the next two three days.

 

According to IMD, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan are likely to experience thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty winds till tomorrow. Similar conditions are expected to prevail over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, and Uttarakhand till Saturday.
