The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall today over parts of Coastal Karnataka, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, and Madhya Maharashtra.

Heavy rainfall is also likely over parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, East Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Interior Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

Light to moderate rainfall is expected at isolated places over Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, parts of the North East, Odisha, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.

According to the IMD, thunder squalls are likely today over parts of Karnataka and Telangana. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are also expected over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Jharkhand, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
