The India Meteorological Department, IMD, has issued a red-colour warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall with isolated extremely heavy rainfall over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim for the next two days. According to IMD, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand till Sunday. Heavy rainfall is expected to prevail over Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, Odisha and North-eastern states tomorrow. The weather agency has also predicted thunderstorm with lightning and gusty winds very likely at isolated places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada till Monday. Similar conditions will prevail over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu Puducherry, Karaikal and Vidarbha. Meanwhle, parts over Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab will experience hot and humid weather tomorrow.
