The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall over North Eastern states, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, East Rajasthan, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh till Monday.

The Met Department has also predicted thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and Andaman and Nicobar Islands for next two days. Similar conditions are likely to prevail over North Eastern states, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Uttarakhand till tomorrow. The weather agency has advised the fishermen to not to venture into Arabian Sea during the next three to four days.

Meanwhile, different parts of the national capital today received moderate to heavy rainfall. The weather department has also predicted that the same weather condition will persist tomorrow as well. According to the IMD, the maximum temperature in the national capital is likely to hover between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will remain around 24-26 degrees Celsius.
