The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall over Uttarakhand, South Interior Karnataka and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands today. It has also predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds over the northeastern parts of India, including Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, during the next two days.

According to the IMD, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Odisha and Telangana are also likely to witness similar weather conditions today.
