IMD Forecasts Heavy Rainfall in Eastern states Till Tomorrow

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall over Bihar and Odisha till tomorrow. The Weather Department said that isolated heavy rainfall is also expected over Arunachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya tomorrow. According to IMD Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Sikkim, Karnataka and Odisha expected to witness thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds. 

 

The weather department said that monsoon trough at mean sea level continues to pass through Sri Ganganagar, Hissar, Moradabad, Gorakhpur, Muzaffarpur, Balurghat and then east-southeastwards to Manipur. As per IMD, Hot and humid weather conditions are likely to prevail over Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal tomorrow, while Coastal Andhra Pradesh is expected to experience heatwave conditions. In Delhi, IMD has forecast partly cloudy sky with strong surface winds tomorrow. According to the IMD, Maximum temperature is expected to hover around 36 to 38 degree Celsius while minimum temperature will be around 28 degree Celsius in the national capital.
